London-via-Glasgow singer-songwriter Alex Amor makes a radiant comeback with her new single Seeing Angels, released today following a sold-out show at London’s Folklore Hoxton. The performance capped a string of dates supporting rising acts Good Neighbours and Gretta Ray.

Produced by Peter Brien (Kojaque, Kean Kavanagh), Seeing Angels blends Amor’s Glaswegian lilt with hazy indie-folk and sunlit country-pop. Its soft warmth carries an undercurrent of emotional clarity—an ode to love’s healing power and the quiet strength that emerges from vulnerability.

“‘Seeing Angels’ is about the healing nature of women,” says Amor. “It speaks to the kind of love that turns your world upside down, alchemises your pain, and makes you believe in something greater. Makes you believe in angels.”

Built on dreamy grooves, shimmering guitars, and vocals that hover between intimacy and memory, Seeing Angels is the first glimpse of Amor’s upcoming debut full-length project, now nearing completion.

“This music came from a transformative period in my life,” she adds. “I’ve always been a romantic with a melancholic streak. Now I’m not afraid of the dark—I’m ready to dig deeper, to bare it all.”

Describing her sound as ‘Cosmic Americana,’ Amor draws inspiration from artists like Mitski, Adrianne Lenker, Cigarettes After Sex, Beach House, Julia Jacklin, and Weyes Blood—crafting songs that feel both expansive and achingly personal.
