LAUREN DUFFUS SHARES NEW SINGLES “SUPER” & “LEWISHAM,” ANNOUNCES EP ‘CAN’S GONE WARM’
London-based producer and vocalist Lauren Duffus returns today with two new singles—Super and Lewisham—and news of her forthcoming EP Can’s Gone Warm, out 30th May via AMF Records’ Select Few (home to Alice Glass, Loyle Carner, Greentea Peng).
Super sees Duffus lean into experimental terrain, blending R&B-laced vocals with trap-infused percussion and swelling into a climactic storm of rolling battle drums. Lyrically, it explores the tension between internal desires and societal expectations. In contrast, Lewisham pares things back—its ambient piano, voice and sub-bass composition offering a moody portrait inspired by the artist’s surroundings on Catford High Street, where themes of place and emotional geography root the EP.
The new material follows N.U.M.T.E, a shadowy fusion of left-field electronica and airy vocal textures, paired with a surreal video by director Stanley Brock. Like much of Duffus’ work, it exudes a nocturnal intimacy—unsettling yet soulful—drawing influence from Oneohtrix Point Never and the early-2010s witch house movement.
Duffus first made waves with 2022’s Habits, mixed by TSVI, a breakout track that fused choral samples, glitchy synths, and frenetic breaks. The song was later featured in a British Vogue and Burberry dance performance at the Royal Opera House.
Since then, she’s taken her shape-shifting sound global, with shows across East Asia and appearances at MUTEK Argentina. Back home, she’s played Fabric, Village Underground, and Colour Factory, and more recently performed during Milan Fashion Week for Miu Miu and Stone Island, as well as a DJ set for cultural tastemakers Places + Faces.
