ALY RETURNS WITH ‘CRYING OVER SPILT MILK’

Greece-to-Brighton artist ALY returns with her latest single, ‘crying over spilt milk’, a guitar-led indie pop-rock track that fuses 90s influences with a distinctly personal edge. Driven by bright, textured guitars and propulsive drums, the track leaves space for ALY’s voice to take centre stage — raw, slightly off-kilter, and full of character.

Lyrically, the song explores the growing difficulty of forming meaningful connections in adulthood, while reflecting on the rare, almost idealistic friendships of the past. It captures the longing for effortless, genuine bonds that quietly shape expectations for what lasting friendship should be.

ALY, the project of Alex Geleklidou, hails from Drama in Greece and is now based in Brighton, UK. Inspired by the likes of Bôa, The Cranberries, Hayley Williams and Alanis Morissette, her sound blends grungy instrumentation with ethereal vocals, navigating themes of existentialism, self-discovery and the realities of a fast-paced life.
