DELANEY BAILEY ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM CONCAVE, SHARES SINGLE “FAR AWAY”
Chicago songwriter Delaney Bailey has announced her upcoming album Concave, out January 21, 2026, via AWAL. The record’s first single, “Far Away,” arrives today, offering a shimmering preview of Bailey’s most expansive work yet — a reflection on youthful certainty giving way to self-discovery, set against driving drums and melodic guitar lines.
“‘Far Away’ is about getting older and realizing I know much less than I thought I did. When I was younger, I believed my experiences had taught me everything I needed to know. Now, I’m much less convinced I know anything at all.”
Still, Bailey finds comfort in that uncertainty. “It’s nice to remember there’s so much left to experience. Meeting myself over and over again has become less painful — maybe because I like myself more, or because I’ve learned to handle change. Probably both. That’s the good thing about your 20s — change is the only constant.”
