LIV BLOORE UNVEILS DREAMY DEBUT SINGLE ‘THE DARLING SONG’

Emerging singer-songwriter and producer Liv Bloore (she/they) steps forward with debut single ‘The Darling Song’, a dreamy folk-rock introduction drawing on influences from boygenius, Ethel Cain and Florence + The Machine. The track carves out an ethereal sonic world, blending classical strings and piano with soaring, theatrical vocals and poetic, aching lyricism.

Bloore’s tender opening line — “darling, I wouldn’t ask for much” — sets the tone for a quietly heartbreaking tale of unrequited love. As the song unfolds, her classical training shines through in delicate piano runs and gentle strings before swelling into spacey drum fills, distorted shoegaze guitars and stacked, yearning harmonies.

“The Darling Song is about falling in love from afar. What begins as harmless admiration spirals into fantasies of a life together — before desperation takes over, and all you want is to hear them call you ‘darling,’ even just once.”

Originally from the Suffolk countryside and now based in London, Bloore grew up composing at the piano and wandering through fields lost in imagined worlds. During the isolation of the pandemic, she began transforming diary entries and internal monologues into songs — a process that culminates in this striking debut.
