ANNIE-CLAUDE DESCHÊNES UNLEASHES DISORIENTING NEW SINGLE “MAIN DE FER”

Montreal multidisciplinary artist Annie-Claude Deschênes returns with Main de Fer, a haunting new single that fuses minimal techno and avant-garde into a disorienting soundscape of emotional isolation and psychological unraveling. The track evokes an invisible grip tightening around the mind, dissolving identity and extinguishing breath in a chilling silence. Fragmented textures and disturbing sonic layers confront the blindness of the self and others, inviting release through controlled chaos.

A fixture in Montreal’s independent music scene for over two decades, Deschênes made her mark with the boundary-pushing bands Duchess Says and PyPy, known for their explosive live shows and artistic boldness. Her solo work retains the urgency of her past but replaces aggression with introspection and vulnerability.

Having shared the stage with acts like The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Hives, Buzzcocks, and more, Deschênes continues to expand her artistic terrain. Her debut solo album Les Manières de Table was released last year via Italians Do It Better and Bonsound.
