Welsh glam-pop provocateur CATTY roars back today with her explosive new single ‘Joyride’—the first release since her acclaimed 2024 debut EP Healing Out Of Spite.
Born from the wreckage of a cancelled Vegas wedding, Healing Out Of Spite won fans with its sharp lyricism and brutal honesty. Now, Joyride picks up the emotional thread—diving headfirst into the chaos of falling for someone you know might break you all over again.
Written in what CATTY calls “pure panic,” the track is equal parts love song, breakdown, and emotional surrender. Surging with baroque keys, stabbing strings, and spiralling brass, Joyride creates the perfect storm for CATTY’s powerhouse vocals.
“Everything I write is unfortunately a little too true to life. I’d met this girl in a smoking area, swore off love for 14 months, hadn’t kissed anyone—but couldn’t stay away. I tried a ‘situationship’ for two weeks (what even is that?). I hated it. I would’ve followed her into hell. Joyride is me saying, I’m all in, please don’t hurt me.”
