MINOE RETURNS WITH REFLECTIVE NEW SINGLE ‘LOOPHOLE’
Nova Scotia-born alt-pop artist to watch MINOE returns with her new single Loophole, a sleek and introspective release shaped by themes of dissociation and emotional self-preservation. Driven by intoxicating beats and polished production, the track reframes painful memories as a powerful act of reclaiming peace.
Speaking on the song, she shares: “Loophole explores the feeling of mentally stepping outside yourself when someone is yelling at you, using restraint and distance as a way to survive. I think it’s very on brand for me - something that makes you wanna dance with super depressing lyrics. If that’s my legacy, I’ll die happy.”
The release follows her 2023 debut EP Bleeding Hearts Disco, which blended disco shimmer with self-empowerment and helped establish MINOE as a rising force in alt-pop. Now based in Montreal, she has been writing since the age of seven, using music to navigate a turbulent upbringing and her queer identity while fostering a sense of safety and community for listeners.
With more to come this year, Loophole marks another striking step forward for MINOE.
