NY OH RELEASES WISTFUL NEW SINGLE ‘APERTURE’

UK-born, NZ-raised and now LA-based singer-songwriter Ny Oh has unveiled her latest single, Aperture — a haunting fusion of melancholic melodies, lush instrumentation and velvety vocals. Written in Aotearoa, where Ny Oh (Naomi Ludlow) grew up, the track was brought to life with Grammy-nominated producer Jonathan Wilson, known for work with Father John Misty, Angel Olsen and Conor Oberst.

Co-written with Paige Tapara, Brooke Lighterwood and Joel Jones, Aperture draws on photography metaphors to explore themes of homecoming and self-acceptance. “It’s about looking at the world through different lenses and accepting your own vision.” Ny Oh explains.

Raised in New Zealand’s natural landscapes and now based in Topanga Canyon, Ny Oh’s work is steeped in an awareness of nature’s rhythms. After years of creative exploration, she is preparing to release her debut album — a project shaped by both her poetic sensibility and her deep connection to the world around her.
