ALICE PHOEBE LOU ANNOUNCES SIXTH ALBUM ‘OBLIVION’ AND NEW SINGLE ‘PRETENDER’
Alice Phoebe Lou has announced her sixth album, Oblivion, set for release on 24 October via Nettwerk Music Group. The news arrives alongside her tender new single Pretender, a stripped-back track highlighting her intimate storytelling and honeyed vocals.
Following 2023’s Shelter, Oblivion marks a deeply personal chapter for Alice, exploring both inner and global journeys. “After five band records, I’ve opened my treasure chest of personal storytelling songs that I’ve built up over a decade. I recorded these songs as they are — simple, imperfect, and all my own — inspired by timeless folk acoustic albums.”
Pretender sets the tone for the record, celebrating Alice’s strength in softness and refusal to compromise her true self. “It’s a loving ode to my younger self. I’ve worked hard to love her, letting my walls come down and embracing who I am without fear of being seen.”
