CHERRY ON TOP: NAOMI SCOTT DROPS NEW SINGLE

Naomi Scott shows no sign of slowing down with the release of her third track in as many months. Her latest single, Cherry, is out now on ALTER Music.

Produced by Lido, the track follows the sultry, bass-driven Rhythm and the stripped-back alt-pop ballad Cut Me Loose. With nods to Janet Jackson and 90s pop, Cherry blends playful dance melodies and crisp drum beats, while Scott’s vocals glide effortlessly, urging patience in love.

“The song has a few meanings, but the one that connects them all is patience. In intimacy, relationships, life—being confident in communicating what you need. That’s reflected sonically too: confident, soulful, sexy, fun, joyful.”

Scott debuted her new music stateside at Lollapalooza in July, drawing one of Saturday’s biggest crowds. Her high-energy set featured Johnny Yukon on Rhythm and a nostalgic performance of She’s So Gone from Disney’s Lemonade Mouth.

First discovered at 14, Scott grew up singing in her parents’ East London church and honed her craft with pop powerhouse Xenomania. While her career in film has often taken center stage, music remains a constant thread, with Scott steadily shaping her own artistic voice.
