DANI LARKIN UNVEILS DOUBLE A-SIDE FT. NEW SINGLE ‘MORNING’

Singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Dani Larkin today releases a double A-side featuring original track ‘Morning’ and a cover of the traditional Irish folk song ‘She Moved Through The Fair’. The release follows last month’s announcement of her new album Next Of Kin, due January 30, 2026 via Wipe Out Music, alongside lead single ‘End Of It All’.

Laden with religious and traditional influences, ‘Morning’ reimagines Eleanor Farjeon’s 1931 hymn ‘Morning Has Broken’ and serves as the album’s opening track — “It’s a nod to the mystery of where we come from and who we are. I wanted the record to start with the first breath of darkness into morning light… the old world into the new.”

Her rendition of ‘She Moved Through The Fair’ holds personal resonance. “This is a song that my mother used to sing. It’s so beautifully haunting,” Larkin shares. Originally revisited for an acting role, her version honors folk legend Margaret Barry while incorporating the Irish keening tradition. “The unsung third verse revealed an aspect of death alongside the promise of marriage,” she notes.

The track also features a 2016 field recording from Nablus, Palestine, rediscovered in her archives. “It’s as relevant as it is haunting. It feels as though it has unfolded itself from the vestiges of time to be present in the here and now.”
