MINOE UNVEILS NEW SINGLE ‘FOGHORNS’

Nova Scotia-born alt-pop artist MINOE returns with her latest single ‘Foghorns’, arriving alongside news of her forthcoming debut album, Stella Marina, due later this year.

Written from the quiet dread of returning to a place that’s bound to hurt, ‘Foghorns’ explores the ways fear and insecurity can keep someone tethered to unhealthy situations long past their breaking point. Driven by slick, DnB-inspired beats and atmospheric production, the track is subtly infused with Irish influences shaped by MINOE’s Nova Scotian roots.

“I think it’s very on brand for me - something that makes you wanna dance with super depressing lyrics. If that’s my legacy, I’ll die happy.”

The release follows February’s ‘Loophole’, a reflective and emotionally charged single that gained significant traction across streaming platforms. The track landed on 26 editorial playlists, including Spotify’s GLOW, New Music Friday and Pop All Day, alongside Apple Music’s New Music Daily and Made in Canada, while also amassing over 3 million views on TikTok. Exploring dissociation as a coping mechanism, ‘Loophole’ paired hypnotic production with candid songwriting, resonating widely with listeners.

Building on that momentum, MINOE continues to establish herself as a rising alt-pop force. Her debut album Stella Marina is set to arrive later this year, following her 2023 EP Bleeding Hearts Disco, which blended disco influences with themes of self-empowerment and community.
