TROUSDALE DROP VIRAL FAN FAVORITE “THE ICK”

Los Angeles trio Trousdale have officially released “The Ick,” a track that first appeared as a hidden cut on their latest album Growing Pains and quickly spread through fan circles before its formal debut.

A tongue-in-cheek anthem about the moment attraction flips to instant revulsion, “The Ick” has become a crowd favorite at the band’s live shows. Co-written with Dan Fernandez in Nashville, the single captures everyday deal-breakers—from baby voices to flip-flops—with both humor and sting.

Calling it “the most important song of our generation,” Trousdale describe the track as a playful but pointed ode to that universal moment when the crush you built up in your head crumbles in real time.

“The ick isn’t just a feeling—it’s a deep, existential betrayal. It’s realizing they’re not the flawless masterpiece you invented in your head, but rather a person who says ‘boys will be boys’ unironically. There’s no recovering from it, so we figured we might as well write a song about it. Call it a public service.”
