TYGERMYLK RELEASES POIGNANT NEW SINGLE ‘BABE III’
TYGERMYLK (they/them) has unveiled their deeply personal new single Babe III, written in response to grief and released on their father’s birthday. The track captures treasured childhood memories while serving as a tender tribute to loved ones lost.
Recalling the song’s origins, TYGERMYLK shared: “One summer at my grandparents’ house, we found a stray piglet on the road. Babe was my favourite film, and I had begged for a piglet that year. My grandpa, known for his practical jokes, might have orchestrated it—or maybe it was fate. They never made a third Babe film, but we lived it.”
What began as a surreal childhood moment evolved into a meditation on grief, lineage and joy in the face of loss. The first verse reflects caring for their grandfather in his final days, while the recording features backing vocals from TYGERMYLK’s father, who has since passed away. The song now stands as both a family keepsake and a sonic time capsule of that unforgettable summer.
