PANIC SHACK RETURN WITH FEROCIOUS NEW SINGLE ‘GRIN & BEAR IT’
Cardiff punks Panic Shack have returned with their first new music since the release of their self-titled debut album, which landed a UK Top 40 placing following its release via Brace Yourself Records in July 2025. The new track, “grin & bear it”, arrives just ahead of the band’s first-ever North American headline tour.
Originally considered for the debut LP, the blistering punk cut sees the five-piece team up with producer Ross Orton, known for his work with Arctic Monkeys, Amyl and the Sniffers and Yard Act. Driven by snarling guitars and sharp-edged intensity, the track finds vocalist Sarah Harvey unpacking the frustrations of modern working life, inspired by lyrics written during a lonely nightshift in 2023.
Speaking about the single, the band explained that the song underwent several reinventions before finally finding its footing in the studio with Orton. “We felt it didn’t have enough grit — until now. We’re super proud of what the track has become; it sounds massive.”
The release is accompanied by a self-directed video filmed during Panic Shack’s recent headline tour across Germany, capturing the chaos, humour and camaraderie that have defined the band’s rise over the past year. “We went full method. No graffiti’d wall un-lip synced in front of, no monument left unused as a backdrop — but of course we had a blast doing it.”
